Effective October 13, 2026. VEARA respects the rights of creators and responds to notices of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.
If you believe a design or other material on VEARA infringes your copyright, email a written notice to our designated agent (section 5) at jonathan@veara.ai. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), the notice must include:
(1) A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or of a person authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
(2) Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed or, if several works are covered by one notice, a representative list of them.
(3) Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and that is to be removed, with information reasonably sufficient for us to find it, such as the link to the product or design page or the design ID shown on the design's preview.
(4) Your contact information: your address, telephone number and, if available, email address.
(5) A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
(6) A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
A notice that leaves out these elements may not be acted on. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), a person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages.
When we receive a notice that includes these elements, we act promptly to remove or disable access to the design on VEARA. If the design was uploaded by a user or submitted by an artist, we notify that person and send them a copy of the notice, so that they can respond with a counter-notice.
If material you uploaded was removed because of a notice and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may email a counter-notice to our designated agent. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3), it must include:
(1) Your physical or electronic signature.
(2) Identification of the material that was removed or to which access was disabled, and where it appeared before it was removed or disabled.
(3) A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
(4) Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located or, if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which VEARA may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or that person's agent.
When we receive a counter-notice that includes these elements, we send a copy to the person who sent the original notice. Unless that person tells our designated agent that they have filed a court action to restrain the claimed infringement, we restore the material no sooner than 10 and no later than 14 business days after we receive the counter-notice.
In appropriate circumstances, VEARA terminates the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the copyrights of others. This applies to customers and artists alike, as our Terms of Service state.
VEARA, Inc.'s designated agent to receive notices of claimed infringement is:
